Twenty-five years of Dallas weddings

More than 25 years of Bollywood, bhangra, and desi celebrations across Dallas–Fort Worth — and a team deep enough that your date never rests on one person.

It started with a record collection and a move across the world

Jazz came to the United States carrying a deep love and knowledge of Punjabi and Hindi music. What began as a passion turned into a profession, and then into a business — one that has spent more than 25 years learning what actually makes a South Asian celebration work.

That experience is the whole point. Anyone can own speakers. Knowing that the baraat needs to build before the groom reaches the door, that a mehendi wants warmth rather than volume, that the aunties and the cousins are two different dance floors that have to be served in the same night — that only comes from having stood behind the booth for hundreds of these weekends.

Jazz still leads the business himself, and stays involved in making sure every client and every vendor gets the performance and the service they were promised.

You are booking a team, not a single calendar

The question everyone actually wants to ask

The worry we hear most often is never about music. It is: will the DJ actually turn up on the day? It is a fair question, and most couples are too polite to ask it directly. So here is the honest answer.

DJ Jazz is not one person with a laptop and an overbooked calendar. It is a roster of established DJs, MCs, and dhol players who have each built their own reputation in this city — Sonny, Ahmed, Ghale, Gurjeev, and Jazz himself. Several of them have been working Dallas weddings for over a decade, some for fifteen and twenty years.

That depth is what makes a date dependable. You are told who is assigned to your event, and there are experienced people behind that name rather than a gap. Meet the team and read their actual backgrounds — we would rather you check than take our word for it.

And if there is anything specific you want confirmed in writing before you book — who is performing, what time load-in happens, what is included — ask. Those are reasonable things to want in writing, and we would rather answer them early than have you wondering.

Every event in the weekend, not just the reception

What we cover

A South Asian wedding is rarely one event, and the music for each one is a genuinely different job. We handle the full run of them, locally and as destination events:

Baraats · wedding ceremonies · receptions · sangeets · mehendi · Nikah · Walima · Roka · garba and dandiya nights · Sweet 16s · birthdays · baby showers · anniversaries · corporate and private events

Beyond playing music, we help with the parts that quietly decide whether a night runs smoothly: coordinating the formalities, building a realistic timeline with your other vendors, and putting together a playlist that reflects your families rather than a generic set. Special requests are expected, not an inconvenience — if there is a song that means something to your family, tell us and it gets played properly.

If you want the room to look as good as it sounds, we also handle lighting, screens, dance floors, dhol, and photo booths. See the full list of services.

Based in Dallas, and happy to travel

Where we work

Most of our weekends are across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex — Plano, Frisco, Irving, Richardson, Arlington, and the surrounding suburbs, where much of the region’s South Asian community celebrates. We know the banquet halls, the sound limits, and which venues make a full baraat easy or difficult.

We also take nationwide and destination bookings for families spread across states. If your celebration is outside Texas, tell us where and when and we will let you know honestly whether we are the right fit.
