An Indian wedding is not one event

It is a series of deeply personal celebrations, each with its own music, energy, and meaning. Every one of them needs a different room read — and the same team who already knows your family.

The arrival

Baraat

Portable sound that actually carries outdoors, a live dhol player, and an MC who keeps the procession moving. We decorate the car and handle the timing with the venue so the groom arrives to a crowd, not a queue.

The colour

Mehndi

A relaxed, all-day feel – Punjabi folk, older Bollywood, and the songs the aunties will sing along to – at a volume that still lets people talk while the henna dries.

The performances

Sangeet

The night with the most moving parts. We cut and sequence every family performance track, run rehearsals through the same rig, and keep the running order tight so nobody is left standing on stage waiting for audio.

The moment

Nikkah & Ceremony

Quiet, precise, respectful. We coordinate directly with your priest, pandit, or Imam, mic the ceremony properly, and keep music strictly to what you have approved.

The dance floor

Reception

Where the night is won or lost. Bollywood, bhangra, Punjabi, hip-hop, Latin, top 40 – read live off the floor, three generations deep, from the grandparents at 8pm to the cousins at 1am.

The encore

Walima & After-party

A second night with its own energy and often a different guest list. We treat it as its own event with its own playlist, not a repeat of the reception.

How it works

From first call to last song

No mystery, no chasing. Four steps, and a real person on the other end of every one of them.

01

Tell us the date

Send your wedding dates and the functions you are planning. We check availability across the whole weekend, not just one night.

02

Build the package

We walk through each function together – what you want, what the venue allows, what actually matters to your family – and quote only what you need.

03

Plan the music

Must-play songs, do-not-play songs, family performance tracks, entrance cues. We build the running order with you and your planner.

04

Show up and deliver

We load in early, sound-check properly, coordinate with every other vendor on site, and then read the room all night.

What families say about DJ Jazz

★★★★★

“DJ Jazz were my preferred vendor for my Mehndi and Reception. They were professional, competitive, and very flexible. There wasn’t a second that the crowd wasn’t going crazy to their selection. If you are Punjabi you have to — I mean have to — go to Jazz!”

Iram Abid Khan  ·  Wedding

Questions

The things couples always ask

Do you cover every wedding function or only the reception?

Every function. Most of our weddings run from the baraat through the mehndi, sangeet, ceremony, reception, and walima – often across three or four days. Booking the whole weekend with one team means one point of contact and one timeline, instead of coordinating separate vendors who have never worked together.

Do you provide live dhol players?

Yes. Live dhol is one of the things we are best known for in Texas, and we provide tabla players as well. A dhol player is standard for baraats and wedding entrances, and works just as well for a sangeet opening. We wrote a full guide to hiring a dhol player for a Dallas wedding.

How much does an Indian wedding DJ in Dallas cost?

It depends on how many functions you are covering, how many hours each one runs, and which add-ons you want – dhol, LED floor, video wall, photo booth. Rather than quote a number that will not match your wedding, we price each package around your actual weekend. Our breakdown of Indian wedding entertainment costs in Dallas explains what drives the number, and a call gets you a real quote.

How far ahead should we book?

Peak-season Saturdays – spring and autumn – go first, and multi-day weddings take more of the calendar than a single event. If you have a date, it is worth checking availability early even if the rest of the planning is not settled.

Do you travel outside Dallas-Fort Worth?

Yes. We cover the whole Metroplex – Plano, Frisco, Irving, Richardson, Southlake, McKinney and the rest – and we take nationwide and destination weddings regularly.

Can we give you a must-play and do-not-play list?

Please do. Every wedding we run is built on the family list first. Send us the songs that have to happen, the ones that must not, and the family performance tracks, and we will build the running order around them.

Do you MC as well as DJ?

Yes – and in both English and Punjabi or Hindi where you want it. Announcements, entrances, cake, speeches, and keeping the timeline moving are part of the service, not an upsell.
